Evidence-based therapy for trauma, PTSD, and the experiences that stay with you long after they've passed.
Trauma isn't always a single dramatic event. It's anything that overwhelmed your capacity to cope — and left a mark. It can show up as flashbacks, numbness, hypervigilance, shame, or a persistent sense that something is wrong with you. It can shape your relationships, your body, and the way you see yourself without you even realising it.
Trauma is also highly treatable. And you don't have to re-live every detail to heal from it.
Trauma doesn't exist in isolation — it's woven into the story of who you are, how you relate to others, and how you've learned to protect yourself. I work to understand that full picture before we approach any traumatic material directly.
Within that, I use EMDR as a core tool for trauma processing — alongside Schema Therapy, and stabilisation skills where needed.
EMDR is one of the most well-researched treatments for trauma and PTSD, recommended by the WHO and supported by decades of clinical evidence. It works by helping your brain process distressing memories that have become "stuck" — so they lose their emotional charge and stop running the show.
Contrary to how it's sometimes portrayed, EMDR doesn't require you to talk through your trauma in detail. Many clients find it less confronting than traditional talk therapy, and often more effective.
Trauma therapy at Mindflow always begins with stabilisation — building your capacity to manage difficult feelings before we approach traumatic material. We move at a pace that feels safe, and you remain in control throughout.
